Shambles

Just like its namesake, Shambles is packed full of character, despite being the smallest bedroom in the house. Originally the Georgian kitchen, Shambles has an impressive fireplace and a quirky walk-in cupboard with shelves which still contains hooks for teacups! This richly decorated ground floor room contains two single beds, which can be combined to form a superking, and is served by a ground floor shower room located off the sitting room. The latter has a generous, level access shower and heated towel rail. Shambles has a large sash window which looks out over the private courtyard to the rear. This is a quiet, cosy room perfectly suited to those who want to be near the action during the day. The Farrow and Ball paint scheme, bespoke headboards, handmade cushions and soft throws combine with antique accessories to create a truly decadent ambience. Good things really do come in small packages!

“Such a splendid room: glamorous to a fault!”
